About: Returning in 2018 is our new Craft Lager Festival, but this year with another twist! New for 2018 we will be introducing our Gin Bar! With over 40 Gins available, all accompanied by a choice of the finest mixers. Sunday 1st froma round 2.30pm we will have a talk on the distilling and manfacture of Gin from Simon Brannon of Two Birds Workshop in Market Harborough. Five days celebrating two of the biggest growing sectors in the UK drinks market, with live music and great food served all weekend. Over 30 craft lagers all on tap and 40 Gins all weekend.

About: Celebrate Easter at Sacrewell by having Breakfast with the Easter Bunny! He is taking time out of his busy schedule to join us on the farm between 9 – 10am on the 30th and 31st of March. Enjoy some breakfast whilst meeting the Easter Bunny, followed by story time with the Bunny and his special farm friends Millie the Mouse and Mr Kittles. Children also receive a small chocolate gift. For those wanting a little extra, the cafe will also be open to purchase additional drinks and snacks. Advance booking only. Everyone attending must purchase a ticket for this event. Ticket holders may purchase admission into the farm at a discounted rate if you’d like to visit the farm afterwards.

About: Easter Bunny will be visiting Sacrewell. The Easter Trail will be on foot and take young adventurers across the whole site. As well as the Easter Trail, you can meet the cade lambs at daily lamb shows and see the Lincoln Longwool, Texel Cross and Jacob lambs in the Lambing Barn or in the fields with their mums. You can purchase the Easter Egg Trail and other activities alongside farm admission in reception.

Easter Egg Hynt with The Rutlander Train
Sunday 1st April
At: Rocks by Rail, Cottesmore, LE15 78X

About: Rocks By Rail will be raising steam for the opening of the 2018 season on Easter Sunday. This will see the return of the ever popular and free to enter Easter Egg Hunt. Visitors can pay once and ride behind 'The Rutlander' steam train all day. Egg hunters will receive a free Creme Egg just for taking part - but sharp eyes will be required to find all twelve eggs hidden around the museum and along the line. While hunting eggs, visitors can view current restoration projects taking shape in the Woolsthorpe Workshop, and view the museums historic fleet in the Simon Layfield Exhibition Centre. Light refreshments will also be available in the Sundew Cafe.

Burghley Easter Egg Hunt
Sunday 1st April
At: Burghley House, Burghley Park, Stamford, PE9 3JY

Price: Admittance is FREE of charge with a House and Gardens or Gardens only ticket and is free to our Friends of Burghley. Please note that Annual Pass tickets will not be accepted for admission on this event day unless they are purchased on the day of the event or online etickets being used for the first time.
About: The popular Burghley Easter Egg Hunt will once again be taking place in the Gardens of Surprise, from 11am to 5pm (last admission 4.30pm). Follow the treasure hunt around the Gardens of Surprise and solve the riddle to claim your full size chocolate egg from the Easter Bunny. Parents are also asked to test their Easter knowledge to try and win an afternoon tea in The Orangery Restaurant. All entries will go in to the prize draw for a giant chocolate Easter Bunny.

Bank Holiday Ironstone Quarry Day

About: The Bank Holiday Ironstone Quarry Day will be the first opportunity for visitors to see and hear all the goings on of an authentic rail worked ironstone quarry, such as were once common in the East Midlands. One of our fleet of historic engines will shunt a demonstration quarry train to be loaded by a vintage excavator. Volunteers will be on hand to discuss the methods of working and hisorical significance of the operation. 'The Rutlander' steam hauled brake van train will be in operation throughout the day. The Sundew Cafe will be open for light refreshments, and visitors are invited to view the rest of the historical fleet in the Simon Layfield Exhibition Centre, as well as ongoing restoration projects in the Woolsthorpe Workshop.
