Hoping for heat waves and sunshine in Rutland this Summer, so we thought we would share with you things to do in and around Rutland over the summer holidays and summer months for your to jot in your diary so you and your family don't miss a thing!

27th May - 23rd September
If you're a regular reader you'll know we're a huge Aqua Park Rutland fan! The UK's largest inflatable water park calls Rutland Water its home during the summer months and for a small cost of £20, you and your friends can enjoy the water park for yourself.

28th June - 2nd July
Oakham's festival of the arts with laughter, music and dance. An event for all the family taking part across Oakham this weekend.

Cricket Week & Beer Festival
3rd-7th July
Burghley Park Cricket Club hosts #CricketWeek and beer festival with FREE Entry.

8th July
An event of music, Spitfire, cannons, cavalry and fireworks at Burghley House, Stamford. A huge event which saw 7,000 people visit last year, returns this summer for the annual concert.

9th July
Dozens of vintage and commercial buses on display at Sacrewell Farm with FREE bus service also running between Sacrewell and Nene Valley Railway.

14th 16th July
A weekend of music at Rockingham Castle from artist across the decades including Deacon Blue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, ABC and more. Pack your deck chairs and sit and enjoy live music with themed bars and food stalls.

15th - 16th July
Sacrewell Farm celebrates its 21st Anniversary with a chance to explore the world of miniature traction steam engines and more.

22nd - 23rd July
A family country show with a weekend of entertainment with dog displays, quad biking, birds of prey and more!

23rd July
Barnsdale Gardens host a family nature trail where children enjoy a backyard safari experience looking out for creatures in the pond, air and soil.

26th - 30th July
Burghley House hosts Burghley Film Festival annually for an outdoor extravaganza of giant screens playing your favourite films from The Jungle Book to Bridget Jones' Baby. Fun for all the family, you can bring along a picnic and enjoy a film in the grounds of the stunning Burghley House.

6th August 
From £4.50 take part in the family fun event at Barnsdale Gardens with a traditional English afternoon in the sun.

9th August
Uppingham gathers musicians each August for a annual concert of musical celebration at Uppingham School Memorial Hall.

10th - 13th August
Rockingham Castle welcomes Kennel Club agility for dog lovers across the country. Round up the family and take your dog along to have a go yourself, watch the experts and even see Scruffts competitions.

11th August
Uppingham's Symphony Orchestra conducted by Wyn Davies and Nic Fallowfield, join for an evening of inspiring music.

13th August
Swim 500m, 2km, 4km or 8km in Rutland Water's, Swim Rutland event.

18th August
Visit Sacrewell Farm for the first of their outdoor cinema events 2017.

18th - 20th August
Rutland Water Nature Reserve hosts the 'birdwatchers Glastonbury' with the whole spectrum of the birdwatching industry and sporting global bird conservation.

19th August
Everyones favourite farmyard film, Babe on screen at Sacrewell Farm's outdoor cinema.

Oakham Craft & Gift Fair
19th August
A fair of all-things craft, handmade, art and gifts.

The Houndogs LIVE @ Bill's Bar, Oakham
19th August
One of the best rock and roll bands around, are playing LIVE in Oakham at Bill's Bar from 10pm.

19th - 20th August
Barnsdale Gardens hosts the event for all the local growers and vegetable patch owners to enjoy.

20th August
A national show organised by Mustang Owners Club GB display all styles of Mustang from 1960's classics to the current 2016 UK models.

Rutland Big Band Bond Night
21st August
Get dressed up with DJ's and cocktails for Rutland Big Band Night with a Bond theme.

18th Annual Rutland Beer Festival
24th - 28th August
Hosted by The Grainstore Brewery in Oakham. A wide selection of real ales from around the UK as well as traditional ciders, with LIVE entertainment and barbecues too!

26th August
Dinosaurs come to Sacrewell for an even of outdoor cinema at our favourite local farm park.

27th - 28th August
Meet 30 local suppliers and celebrate local produce with handmade cheeses, artisan breads, organic vegetables and more at Burghley House.

27th - 28th August
Vikings return to Rockingham Castle for battles, pageantry, Living History Camp and more. Have a go at archery and storytellers wow the crowds.

31st August - 3rd September
The local equestrian event of the year in the international sporting calendar. A 4 day event with more than 600 exhibitors with clothing, homeware, giftware and of course, equestrian. An event which really is fun for all the family.

Normanton Church Wedding Open Day
3rd September
Normanton Church hosts a wedding open day between 11am and 3pm. Pop open to see the site as well as local suppliers and ask any questions you may have.

Oakham Vintage Fayre
3rd September
Head over to Victoria Hall in Oakham for a vintage fayre, only £1 entrance!
Lots of stalls selling all things vintage.

Rutland Showground Craft Fair
10th September
Rutland's showground hosts a craft fair you'll love if you enjoy all kinds of craft hobbies!
