Illuminati Evening at Stamford Georgian Festival
Saturday 23rd September
7:00pm to 8:15pm at Stamford Arts Centre
Stamford's Georgian Festival 'Bull Run' re-enactment will be even more spectacular this year, thanks to stunning light shows with performers and costumed actors!
Stamford's churches will play leading roles in the event as the Bull Run re-enactment winds its way through the town's ancient streets, involving local people, schools and community groups.
Head to St Mary’s Street (outside the Arts Centre) from 7pm and see St Mary’s and St George’s churchyards animated and illuminated with lights, decorations and dancers.
From 7.15pm, join us at St George’s Square for pre-procession entertainment, including juggling and fire-breathing with the ‘Fairly Famous Family’.
Shortly after 7.30pm, join the procession as it leaves St George’s Square and makes its way to Red Lion Square for a dramatic finale with a 3D projection of the story of the Stamford 'Bull Run' on to All Saint's Church. Expect an explosive conclusion at around 8.15pm.
The light shows have been made possible by grant funding from the EU LEADER grant programme.
